Peter: Hi Daniel, how are you? Longest time! How’s life and family?

Daniel: Good, not that bad!

Peter: Well, it’s good to hear from you Daniel.
What’s happening with work? You know the last time we had a conversation, you said you were searching for a job elsewhere! So what is the outcome? Have you gotten one so far?

Daniel: Oh no i’m still searching

Peter: Okay, no worries, God will make a way.
What are your plans today?

Daniel: I’m heading to the Gym for my gymnastics classes and from there I will be going to Church service.

Peter: Okay, that’s good….that reminds me, has your younger sister completed her placement?

Daniel: Yes, she has

Peter: Oh wow….so what are her plans now?

Daniel: Well, she will be travelling to America for work!

Peter: Is she married now?

Daniel: Yes

Peter: wow that’s great and how many children does she have?

Daniel: None

Peter: Don’t worry, God will make a way for her.

Peter continued asking: What about your sister in-law that was sick? Has she being treated? What about her studies? How is her husband behaving now, are they still fighting?

Daniel responds: Yes she’s still on treatment and has suspended her studies for now. My brother, in regards to the fighting aspect, is still on as usual.

Peter: Mmmm….They still fight! May the Lord have mercy.

Wow…anyway It’s nice talking with you. Will catch up some other time. I’ve got to meet up with someone now, will chat with you soon since I have your number. Off Peter goes!

Beloved, we live in a dangerous world today where all manner of things are happening. We have to be sensitive to the questions people ask us! Some people come around you to ask questions just to get information from you without your knowing! They will smile with you as thou they are your friend but in reality they are not your true friend. Some pretend to be caring and nice in a way only to gather information to use against you as well as judging you; not the fact that they have you at heart.

Beloved remember that the enemy works with information. Like I always encourage people, not every question deserves an answer. If a question is too sensitive, you are not under any obligation to respond. Its vital to be in the Spirit at all times.

The Word of God tells us to be swift to hear, slow to speak……(James 1:19).

The question we should ask ourselves is: In getting the information, how is it going to help me spiritually? And after I get the information what next? Is it righteousness to know what is going on in people’s private lives? Is God pleased with what i’m doing?

Dearly beloved, there is so much to do with time instead of being a newsmonger or nosey parker that is inquisitive in knowing things about people’s private lives; use that time and invest in your own life positively. Busybody people are those who are meddle in the affairs of others and they only make a bad situation worse. Miriam and Aaron were busybodies! They spoke against Moses their brother who married the Ethiopian woman. The Lord heard all their conversations and the end result was that Miriam was left to suffer leprosy as a result of gossip.

Numbers 12:1
“Miriam(A) and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife,(B) for he had married a Cushite. 2 “Has the Lord spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?”(C) And the Lord heard this.(D)”
Numbers 12:10
“When the cloud lifted from above the tent,(Q) Miriam’s skin was leprous[a]—it became as white as snow.(R) Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had a defiling skin disease,”

We ought to use our time to focus on things that will advance our destiny and mind our own business instead of using our busy day as busybodies.

1 Peter 4:15
“But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.”
1 Peter 5:13
“And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.”

Beloved, instead of investigating people’s private life please pray for their well being and God’s intervention in whatever they are going through. Don’t be a victim that increases pains in other people’s lives. Therefore just face your front and not meddle in people’s private life/relationships. Endeavour also not to use prayer as a means of gossip.

Until next time continue to swim in overflowing Grace and Glory. God bless you
