I greet you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today, I’m addressing a very sensitive topic we have in the body of Christ. Many Christians misunderstand God’s grace, they believe that they are under God’s law and Christ has already paid for their past, present and future sins. This indeed is a false statement! I want to address this matter to help someone not to be comfortable living in SIN. Mind you, you will come in contact with false teachers that will pervert the grace message to licence you to continue to SIN. Dearest, it’s important that you understand what grace means instead of people manipulating your mind or turning the Bible upside down to suit their evil desires. I want to start by saying that the grace of God is not an excuse to sin, its an empowerment not to sin.

Titus 2:12

“Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;”

Grace is not a licence to continue in weakness.
Apostle Paul showed us a good example when he asked God to take away that thorn in his flesh.

2 Corinthians 12:6-9

“6 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

It’s important for us to be conscious of the grace and walk in it. God’s grace is sufficient for us and through His power we are made perfect in our weakness. So grace means free from sin not free to sin. However, the moment you give your life to Christ it’s nolonger you that live, but it is Christ who lives in you. Besides grace must teach us to say NO to ungodliness…..Just like Joseph who refused to have sexual intercourse with Potiphar’s wife.

Genesis 39:8-10

“There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. (A)How then can I do this great wickedness, and (B)sin against God?”
10 So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he (C)did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her.”

Some of us are in the prison of sin and shame but we use grace to justify our actions but we don’t know we are killing our conscience. Beloved, it doesn’t matter the sin you have committed, God is able to help you come out of that bondage/captivity. You need to die and bury the old man (sinful habits) and resurrect to a new man. Maybe you lie, steal, bear false witness, gossip, anger, pride, you have sex with married men to earn a living, commit adultery with your boss who is faithfully married, or being in a relationship and fornicating because of the fact we live in the grace period etc….. what you need is deliverance. The Lord does not hate you, He hates the sin. Just like the woman who was caught in the act of adultery, the Lord told her to go and sin no more

John 8:11

“She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, (G)“Neither do I condemn you; go [k]and (H)sin no more.”

In today’s age, the forgiveness God gives us is not giving us the licence to sin, its for us to repent and follow him. The Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but the moment one knows the truth, He/She must live for Him (God). It is by faith through grace that we have been saved not through works. It’s vital to know that he that is born of God does not practice sin but rather walk in the newness of life. The moment you forsake your sins you become a new creation and the old things pass away.

For those who intentionally and deliberately say I will still commit this SIN, for your information the choice you make will determine your destination (Eternity). Sin has consequences, yes God will forgive the SIN but you will face the consequences both here on earth and in eternity if you don’t repent. What happens if at the very moment you are committing the act and rapture takes place or your spirit lives your body (death) Will you make it to Heaven? Be careful not to pamper sin or manipulate the Bible to suit you. Shall we continue in SIN , that grace may abound? God forbid 🚫. Heaven is not cheap, you can’t be sinning and taking the grace of God for granted with the hope of making heaven! Many of us think because I’m born again I’m free to do anything I want. We cannot turn the grace of God into lasciviousness. For your information, sin is what separates us from God and that was why Jesus came to reconcile us back to God. We are to be holy because God is holy and without holiness no man say see the Lord. Let us amend our ways. The Lord will help us all!

In conclusion, any believer who habitually live in sin and continue practicing sin is not born again because He that is born of God does not practice sin instead walks in the newness of life. Grace calls us into a more holy lifestyle and the moment we acknowledge Him as our Lord and Savior we are to change our actions and mindset. There are so many doctrines out there being preached and I would encourage you reading this to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling so when temptation comes you won’t fall a prey to it.

Until next time, have a phenomenal time in God’s presence and remain rapturable!
