Last year 2019 was not a good year for me, because I entered into relationships without inquiring from the Lord. I learnt so much that if I look back today I thank God to have gone through the test. Yes, most of the times when people come into our lives, we forget God easily and just do our own thing. I have come to realise that not every person you come in contact with must be part of your life. We need to be prayerful and seek God’s face regarding any relationship. This year 2020, I want each one of us to be intentional about our relationships! It’s important for us to surround ourselves with the right people. Who you associate with can either build, break or destroy you.

Besides I was listening to one powerful woman of God “Kemi” and she mentioned some metrics which I took on board and want to apply it (Righteousness, Peace & Joy). I’m pretty sure that If I applied these metrics last year, I wouldn’t have entered into such relationships. I thank God to have gone through it because I’ve learnt my lessons.

Beloved, before you go far in any relationship ask yourself; do I have peace, joy…..Is there any righteousness? One thing we must all understand is that people appear nicely but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. They come nicely but with the intention to break or destroy you. That’s the reason I’m strongly emphasising each one of us to be deliberate or intentional about who surrounds us. Pray about everything, dont be reluctant. This year 2020, you cannot afford to mess up with your life. If you find yourself losing righteousness, peace and joy, than you need to examine that relationship once again. I always tell people not to joke with their righteousness. Anything that will stand between you and God must be avoided at all cost.

As you journey this year, its vital you reflect on your relationships and if at any point you lose peace, pray about it! God may be saying something. And if God is not leading you anymore in that relationship, act as he says to avoid tragedy. God knows best and nobody knows better than Him. Please don’t leave God out of your plans. Endeavour to make sure that God is at the center and is also directing you. This is a Word to the wise.
