This innocent great man named Joseph suffered in the hands of his brothers who conspired against him by plotting to kill him as a result of the revelation God showed him. God revealed to him that he was going to rule over his brothers and this brought hatred and bitterness. Oh my gosh….this was indeed wickedness. Imagine his own family plotting evil to get rid of him.

There are so much lessons to learn from this story. When God gives us a revelation over something, we need to be very careful who we share it with because not everyone can handle it. As far as we are on this planet earth, people will always be jealous of your progress in life. Joseph was an innocent man just sharing his dream with his brothers out of love and without his knowing his brothers set up to kill him but we thank God for Reuben who played the trick to save him and deliver him to his father again. Although that didn’t work out as planned by Reuben, atleast Joseph wasn’t killed.

Beloved no matter what the enemy brings along our way, as far God is on our side it will not prosper. Joseph passed through a lot but that didn’t stop his destiny from coming to pass. God has put so much potential in us that the enemy would want to stop us from fulfilling our God given gifts or talents. I’m saying this from experience, I was in a season where the enemy tried to frustrate my works by using someone to block me. I was very upset about it and I understood that if I develop bitterness I will not progress. However Gods word kept me through and today it’s a different story.

There are sometimes in life that people would cause us agony and many at times it is people that are close to us. If Joseph had allowed grudge to have dominion over him, I’m sure by now it would have been a different story. As far as you are making impact, there will always be someone out there criticising you but remember to carry your cross because trails and tribulations will always be there. I always tell people that come in contact with me that no one can stop your destiny except yourself and that no man has the final say except God. Therefore we don’t need to run away from problem but be steadfast and immovable always abounding in the work of the Lord.

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” (James 1:12)
